Available soon: the TRiDaS Access Database

In the project we have to turn our (meta)data in TRiDaS XML. To facilitate this process, the DCCD project is also developing a TRiDaS Access database.
This database will implement TRiDaS and can be used for storing dendrochronological data. It uses TRiDaS specified entities and fields (Small alterations to these fields and/or adding new fields will be possible but do require some knowledge in (Access) databases and programming). Within this database it will be possible to store and query all recorded dendrochronological data (as specified by TRiDaS) locally.

All (meta)data within the database can then be exported to the TRiDaS-xml schema, creating the possibility of communicating with other applications using TRiDaS, such as the DCCD-web application. This database will be available in August 2009 and can be freely downloaded from this website.
